Volunteer Energy Non regulated energy provider Port Huron Michigan

 Just got my Feb 2014 gas bill and boy was I shocked. SEMCO is my gas utility, but Volunteer Energy has been my gas supplier for over a year. I chose Volunteer Energy because of the sales pitch that they would save me money over SEMCO. Well, for the month of Feb 2014 SEMCO charge .41 cents per therm, while Volunteer Energy charged $1.59 per therm, almost a 400 percent difference.

Needless to say, I have cancelled Volunteer Energy and am back with SEMCO as my gas supplier. Be very careful about switching gas suppliers.
