Volunteer Energy Received mailer promising a $25.00 MDen gift card. Signed up in December 2012, still no gift card. Ann Arbor Michigan

My mother received a mailer from Volunteer Energy offering themselves as an alternative natural gas supplier for Consumers Energy customers in Michigan. The mailer advertised a $25.00 MDen gift card for "University of Michigan" fans and alumni and a rate of $4.99 per MCF for natural gas if you switched to them for supply. She decided to switch, (mainly because she is a huge Michigan fan).

My mother is 85 years old.

I have beern calling the following phone number for the past three months: 1-800-977-8374. The person who answers says "I will transfer you to the "Michigan desk". When this happens, I get someones voice mail, leave a message, and no one ever returns my call.

I did talk to a women about 4 weeks ago, and was told that the "gift cards" were just coming in and would be mailed out in about a week. It is now a month later and no gift card. I am beginning to think that this is merely a case of false advertisement/missrepresentation.

I am wondering if anyone out there at all GOT a gift card?????
