Vonage, Vonage ripped me off. When I signed up they aggred to not charge me a disconnect fee. When i disconnected they charged me a fee. Holmel new jersey

Before I signed up with Vonage I shopped them with Lingo and others. I knew I was taking a chance with this company so I tried to mitigate any future issues. The only way I would agree to begin service was to not be charged a connection or disconnection fee in case I didn't like the service. During the entire times of service, I had intermittent technical issues that they could not fix. I couldn't take it anymore so I disconnected service.
I spoke to supervisors e17167 and Brian employee number 17902. Neither would honor the terms of my agreement. I plan on sending letters to my Congressmen, PUC, FCC and everyone else I can think of. There is a good reason this company's stock is at $2. They are terrible. Stay away at all costs. I have written to the Board of Directors and have yet to receive any answers.

This is to memorialize the conversation I had with Melissa at 888 580 4020 ext 23178 yesterday. She offered a full refund if I returned the equipment. I said fine, if Vonage paid for the shipping. She refused. Shipping would cost about $14. I told her I was very upset at the terrible phone service and lost thousands of dollars in business due to the fact the phone service was very often interrupted and I refused to spend another dime related to Vonage. I let her know that I would be filing complaints with all governing agencies and more.
Yesterday I filed several complaints (FCC, PUC, CA Attorney General); today I will be writing letters to my elected officials. Rather than paying for the shipping, she decided on behalf of Vonage, that it was a better decision to not try to satisfy a very upset Vonage customer. When I asked her for a supervisor or someone above her that would listen to reason, she said she was the highest in the company other than the CEO and refused to escalate the matter. I would ask that this entire complaint be distributed to the Board of Directors. If you won't, I will. These messages are being copied and saved for all future use.
Additionally, I have asked your investor relations department for the names of the brokerage firms that cover your stock. So far this has not been answered. (I own your stock through one of my companies).I will take this as far as I have to. Considering the problems I and others have had with Vonage, it is no wonder the stock is trading at $ 1.90. Copies of this will be posted online at ripoffreport.com as well as other blog spots online.

**************Be very wary of vonage. *******************They were never able to figure out why people calling me within my own area code were never able to reach me. Callers always received a message saying the phone was out of service. it makes it sound like my phone was disconnected for non payment. Not a good impression to leave for people you rare trying to business with.
