Ripoff, Will Steal your money... I had some problems with my company many years ago and intrusted Washington Tax Services to file my taxes and do an offer and compromise. I paid over $5,000 upfront for them to do all the work as per my contract. I dealt with a very rude person name Jay. Jay Freeborn was extremely rude and unprofessional. He treated me very bad. I had to file my taxes in my own because they wanted to charge me more money. So I hire someone else to help me with my taxes. After having the taxes prepared, I went back to Washington taxes to get involved with the IRS. They wanted more money again. They wanted to charge me a re-open fee. As I mentioned earlier I gave them over $5,000 and they didn't do anything!!! So I got fed up and asked them for a refund. They denied my refund. So they expect me to be out of over $5,000 and they didn't do anything. I am going to fight them to get my money back, but I warn everyone out there not to hire the services from Washington Tax Services. They will rip you off! They are liars! Money back guaranteed in the "old page" of their website is a lie! Rip Off Scam Artists!!!

I have given Washington Tax Services another chance to do my taxes. My last two conversations with them were positive and I will be sending all my paperwork so they can do their job. I will update this report with the results in regards to my case.

Matthew:
Why don't you post the agreement that I have with your company in this site so everyone could see. I would like to see myself. Why did I hired bookeepers and CPAs after I hired your company? You should pay more attention to customer service. I was treated poorly by your staff. I lost faith and trust and had to go elsewhere because of how Jay was treating me. In addition, if I was using your company to do everything why did your company tried to charge me for filling (I hired someone to do it). What about a re-open fee? Show the contract where indicates that I am going to have a re-open fee. You can definately make your company look good with your response, but the truth is that your company over-promised and under-delivered. I got no results from your company and had to go elsewhere.

Matthew,
I tried to work with your company and all I received was grief. I told you up front how complex my case was and that it would've taken a very long time to get everything filed. All Jay tried to do is extort me for more money everytime. So I had to hire bookkeepers in my own. Full time and I spent over $35,000.00 to get my records up to date. Your company didn't do anything. And when I was getting ready to move to the next step your company asked me for more money. You guaranteed that it was for everything and I got nothing!!! So, I requested for a refund, which I haven't seen! You owe me money and you should pay it back. I don't have to be calling you to beg for MY MONEY back! If you have the right intentions, you would've refund MY MONEY.

Response to Balelo Complaint

We have been made aware of the complaint you posted online. I don't like clients to be unhappy and I am interested in clearing this up if possible.
You hired us to prepare tax returns and to represent you with the IRS to resolve your tax debt. We have spent a considerable amount of time working with you, your bookeepers and the IRS on this case. In addition to the work of compiling your tax information and preparing Collection Information Statements (form 433A and B) we have made at least 10 telephone calls to the IRS on your behalf and have spent significant amounts of time working with both you and the two different bookkeepers you have hired to help you get your information together to send to us.
Because, after 9 months, you and your bookkeepers had still been unable to provide us with information necessary to complete your tax returns we were unfortunately unable to make much progress. We eventually placed your case into inactive status due to the fact that, after multiple promises by you to do so, we were never provided with the information we needed to successfully complete your case. When you requested that we continue with your case, the IRS Collection Information Statements we had prepared six months earlier were now out of date which required us to charge you an additional fee for the work it would take us to now update this information.
The fees that you paid us for tax return preparation were set aside for tax return preparation. We still anticipated that we would be preparing your returns once you sent all of your information. If, as you have stated in your complaint, you have hired someone else to complete your tax returns, we could certainly waive the additional fee for the IRS representation work, apply the unused tax return fees toward this, and complete your case. However, by the tone of your complaint, it does not sound as if our relationship can be repaired. If you truly do not want to continue with us, we could also just refund the unused portion of your tax return preparation fees.
The fees for the IRS representation work, however, are not refundable at this time. Our money back guarantee only applies if you change your mind within 15 days, not after we have worked on your case for 9 months. Both Jay Freeborne and I have left you multiple voicemails over the past three months offering to discuss this with you and you have never responded to us. If you are truly serious about resolving this issue, please give us a call. You have our phone numbers.
Sincerely
Matthew Woare, Manager
