First off, I will admit I haven't been the best consumer with Wells Fargo. I started off fine with payments and what have you, but when the Mrs. and I split and she took all the money and I took all the debt, I started falling behind, that coupled with the hard times at work, reduced pay etc... I fell behind. However, in an ironic twist as soon as things started looking up for me and I put together a plan to catch up on my Wells Fargo Auto Loan, it became a fiasco.

Similar Experience going on 18 monts!

I have a similar experience going on with them as well!
I am very ill and in June 2008 I missed a payment. I started receiving multiple and I mean multiple phones calls at work! It was harrassment. One morning I told the rep that called to stop calling me at work. As soon as I hung up I received a call from a 'supervisor' (I use that term loosely) who stated I was refusing calls from them and was not keeping up with end of the contract! I hung up.
I was finally able to speak with a nice rep! She arranged to have 2 pymts placed at the end of the loan so that I could get caught up. this was in Aug for the June and July pymts. I made the Aug pymt and then received a nasty call in Sept 2008. By this time I had someone assisting me to get my financial situation in order and to help me make payment arrangements for other things, etc. WF was advised this man had power of atty and to contact him only. Well, in Sept I was bullied into paying with a post dated check for the Sept 2008 pymt. what happened then is sickening. The rep not only processed the pymt the next day, this rep kept my bank info and withdrew 3 additional pymts, in Oct 2008 and it has yet to be corrected.
The rep that is helping me get caught up with all my bills, etc., spoke with various people at WF. My bank manager even called them and he was able to have 1 pymt retracted. We let WF keep 2 of the pymts so then I wouldn't be due until Dec 2008. WF has never posted the 2 pymts we let them keep to my acct! they still haven't.
We filed a complaint with the Comptroller of the Currency, twice. Once in January 2009 and then again in October 2009. i finally received a notice from the Comp of teh Currency in Dec 2009 stating they had forwarded the complaint to the bank and they had 30 days to respond. The 30 days is now up and WF has not responded.
Now my personal rep is working to see where we go from here. WF has a repo order on my vehicle stating I am behind. I am not. The repo company, which is owned by WF!, wanted the info from the C of C and my rep refused to send the info stating they would rather speak with their contact at WF. The repo company has refused.
My rep has spoken with one Alex Alvarez and his boss, the VP of Auto Collections, Will Coakley, and has really gotten nowhere. Mr. Coakley admitted they had recieved the monies and needed to find them. They aren't looking very hard!
We have found out that WF has a suspense account. This is where they place pymts they are 'unable to connect to an acct'. A rep accidently told my rep about this. We have now hired 2 atty's. WF is trashing my credit and they are costing me thousands of dollars I should really be spending on my medical condition.
I think nearly everone at that company is corrupt. What is ironic is this: my current bank manager used to be a bank manager for WF!!!!!! He said they tried to accuse him of stealing a cash pymt loan payoff! He said he knew the company did some odd things so he always kept copies of paperwork on payoffs. Luckily he did. He left WF shortly after.
I just don't understand how they continue to get away with their actions. It is sad the way the bully people. My rep went so far one time to yell at them on the phone and the rep he was talking to asked that he not talk to him that way! My rep said then requested they do the same.
One of these days I am hoping everything will be corrected. I have lost so much already and to lose this along with the monies I have HAD to spend is not right. I wonder how these reps would feel if their own company did this to them!

ask to speak with the manager in charge, & explain your situation. Have all of the documents necessary to back-up what happened, And have the names of the people you spoke with. See if the manager will resolve your problem and refund all the FEES, etc.
