If you've been reading this site you will know that Wells Fargo rips off it's customers daily. Specifically those who do not have a steady balance in their checking account.

Here's how they keep screwing me. I will get paid on a weekend by direct deposit. So I will write checks during the weekend which would be dated and processed AFTER I get paid that weekend. The money is in the bank and I can spend it according to my debit card and online banking.

However, come Monday, they POST the checks I wrote against my balance previous to getting paid on the weekend. So I get paid Saturday morning, I write checks Saturday afternoon and Sunday or use my debit card. Monday they process all the transactions, charge me fees for them and then "process" my paycheck to cover the fees. Usually leaving me out a couple hundred dollars.

If you call them they will see the mistake and offer to reverse half the fees. Which, to save time and effort, most people agree with. Then they put a note on your account not to reverse any more fees. Then when they screw up again and you call them they will not reverse the fees and explain that you shouldn't write bad checks and treat you like a criminal.

So you explain to them how you did have money and they just posted things in the wrong order. They will tell you that it's automatic and that they have no control over it and that you can't trust the statements from your online banking (though common sense dictated if you put money in and then spend it, that the money was obviously there first).

This is a system to make wealthy people more wealthy on the backs of those who are not rich. This is a company who designed a system to specifically ripoff the middle class and the poor. Then they train their staff to defend their practices by saying the only people who run into these problems are people who are bad with their money or can't keep a check register.

If you bank with Wells Fargo, keep sending in those complaints. I will gladly walk into a court room with my entire financial statements from Wells Fargo for public scrutiny.

Here is my advice to all of you. If you work there, find a new job. You are helping to screw over the less fortunate people of your own communities and you should be ashamed.

If you bank there, leave as soon as possible and make sure your account is closed and then come back and check it again a month later to avoid them trying to charge you a hidden fee a few weeks later and then putting you on check systems or ruining your credit.
