Wells Fargo Promotional Rate Ripoff
Received a Super Check stating 0% interest for 12 months with a 4% Cash advance fee. When I paid all of the other charges from normal use of the credit card, Wells Fargo only applied the payment to the cash advance, This caused me to show that no payment was made to any other balance creating for the first time interest charges. After talking to several individuals at Wells Fargo, they adivised that the only way you can actually get the 0% is to pay off an entire balance and then DO NOT use the card until you pay off rhe cash advance. Else you will continue to build you unpaid interest bering balance until the interest free balance has been paid.
That's their way of backdooring their customers into having interest charges and increasing their ourstanding debt.
Of all the credit cards I have Wells Fargo is the only one that has done this predatory move! Very much a bait & switch.

Yes, you need to be completely clean from the debts you have with them before you use the card again, or you will incur interests on whatever you owed. This does NOT apply to Wells Fargo only, but all other credit cards that allow you to transfer balance for 0% interest for a period of time, so that you have time to pay off your debts with no interest. I feel that it is fair because one should take advantage of no interest to pay off the debt; whereas, NOT start new debts again until the current debts are paid off.
