On 10/20/04 supervisor picked up lunch from Wendys for his employees.While my wife was eating her lunch she bit into something strange.After spitting it out discovered that it contained someone had been chewing gum and put it in her salad. She was grossed out as well as the others sharing lunch with her.
When she called Wendys the manager said she was sorry, but she needed to complain to her assistant manager and she wasn't there. She knew then that they just wasn't interested in hearing her complaint. My wife was sick all day and still worries that the gum may have come from someone with a disease.
The health dept.was informed and we still have the salad frozen, just in case she becomes seriously ill. She has been advised to get a hepatitis A shot to be safe. This is a series of three shots and that cost $250 dollars each. That is a hell of a price to pay for a salad. Needless to say the shipping department won't be ordering lunch from Wendys again.

Legally, the restaraunt is responsible for the cost of the shots. The gum in the salad is a customer incident. Had you contacted Wendys corporate headquarters when the manager seemed disinterested, there would have been no need to coe here.
