 After reading and doing research on Jim and his company I was scared and worried. I also came up with nothing on his company only some bad press from ripoff report and now was really worried.But I had the owners phone number and was in constant contact with Jim. I too ordered a 383 stroker. I bought the candy apple red motor. After looking him up and all I could find was bad press and feedback from ripoff report. I called and talked to him in person and talked about the reports on ripoff. After talking with him in the end all he asked was a chance to prove himself. I believe in people and gave him the chance to make good. And yes I had paid the 500 deposit on PayPal. And I went ahead and sent him the money in a bank check. So without his awnesty I would be out over 5400 dollars. But as he promised I got my engine. The engine came with everything else I had ordered for it. Flywheel and the front kit with alternator,power steering pump and water pump. Everything was there. THE ENGINE LOOKS AMAZING. Cant wait to get it in my Camaro. So in closing I would like everyone to know he does sell nice engines. Is a man of his word. And I don't hold anything against him at all. Everything was as discribed and came with everything I ordered. I am very happy with my engine.. Thank you Jim at west coast parts.

You are correct in that we did not purchase anything from you.  You are totally ignorant if you think we are trying to blackmail you for cash (and just for the record it's blackmail not black male - you aren't too bright, are you). The fact that you said you've give us our money back and began the proceeding to refund it and waited until after I contacted entities stating that you were going to be honorable and give us our money back and then PULLED IT BACK AGAIN without giving us a refund just made me angrier because now you are making me reopen and recreate cases against you.  As I stated earlier I didn't want to hurt anyone's business or disparage anyone but you have proven again and again that you are unhonorable so karma's a b--- and now I am not concerned with anything other than getting the word out about your character and antics.

You keep on building those engines. You say any feedback is good feedback.  Well you change your company name everytime someone is not satisfied with you from what I have researched.

Plain and as simple as I can put it - Ad on ebay for engine - at the bottom said call seller if you have questions.  We did.  You said put deposit through paypal.  We trust paypal and ebay as entities that will support people.  When we found out it then wasn't going through ebay we wanted to back out - you use paypal and ebay and your marketing tools and then steer the customers to you - that in itself is unethical.  Little hairs went up on our neck. We began to research you and there is no company business registered in your county, no phone number listed either - town is not aware of any company with your name.

The money that we lost is not a huge concern at this point - lesson learned - but I will make it my mission to make every business entity/better business bureau and as many consumers as I can to make them aware of your dishonesty.

I will file a report on you for each company I have seen you call yourself with local entites, better business bureau, paypal and ebay.  The first few that I'll be making reports on are Engines Unlimited 509, Xtreme Performance - there are others - I will find them and I will be sure to get the word out of your antics.

they did not buy anything from us.. they are trying to black male us for cash.. we build quality engines and im not sure what they are refering to.. they are low lifes looking for cash.. any feedback is good feedback we have sold more engine latley from people calling about this add... they know that if you have not bought a item from us then you can say you know anything about us or the items... good luck and thanks for sending more customers our way.. sales are off the hook..

This gentleman and his so-called business is not honorable - he has told us he'd refund our money - started the process, I amended my report saying he was and he pulled back the money - he is not honorable and I will do everything in my power to be sure every avenue I can take will be aware of his nonsense.

He is not registered as a business in his town or state, has no phone number listed with white pages or yellow pages. 

Uses paypal and ebay as his advertising tools and then says - send the deposit -- when you send the deposit it then isn't going through ebay and final payment won't be through paypal -- he wants everything after that initial deposit to go to him.

He is unethical - has used at least from what I can find five or six business names (and if there are more I'll find them and make out a ripoff report on each business he claims to have) - it is my belief when he gets caught in a tangle with people he then changes his business name.  Here's just a few of the business names that I will be writing a ripoff report on - he is the owner -  Enginesunlimited509, Hpenginesuperstore, Xtremeperformance ltd

My next step is again to contact the better business bureau to further find out what other steps I can take to publicize his dishonesty.

My husband Alex Ferrara is NOT and has NEVER BEEN associated with Bessemer Venture Partners as the seller states. I will not only continue to write negative reports on him as this seller but also the many many other company names he goes under when trying to sell engines.  In good faith thinking we were purchasing through ebay and paypal is the reason we sent him the deposit of $500.00.  The minute after we sent him the money through paypal and noticed there was no record of it on ebay did we decide to back out because we wanted the protection of ebay and paypal because we respect those two oragnizations.

Ripoff does not allow you to take down your original report - you are only allowed to filed a rebuttal -- when he said he would give us our money back I filed a rebuttal saying that in the end he was honorable - well he PULLED the deposit back from paypal and is not an honorable businessman - In the beginning of all this I did not want to harm or disparage him or his business but I feel I have a right to let others know of unpleasant experiences with sellers - and yes it is buyer beware because in this case it's the buyer (us) that got swindled out of $500.00.  The money is not the important part of this anymore.

I'm retired and have all the time on my hands to fully investigate him and make sure that I can get the word out to as many people business bureaus that will read about him what type of person and businesses he runs.  The first thing I did wrong which I caution people to do when purchasing anything is -- find out if the seller has a registered legitimate company/business REGISTERED in the city and state that they claim they are doing business - see if they have a website, see if they have a phone number listed for their business through the yellow pages, etc. If they don't QUESTION IT -- something is fishy if they don't.

 It does state on this site that the reports cannot be removed at all. Its in plain view and you do not have to look very hard to see it. So its just a little weird in the midst of this conversations that theres no offer on either party to get the money back in exchange for removing the report when the site itself is telling you that it will not be removed. All you can do is come to an agreement if you choose to communicate within the report itself but I do not beleive that the origional author is at fault.

Alex Ferrara at Bessemer Venture Partners 386-986-8885 386-585-3085 386-986-8886 never bought from me it looks like they do this alot to make money, they write a negative reveiw and then they say they will take it off if we pay them... we agree cause what else do we do? negative feedback thats not true is not fair and then you pay them and they still dont remove the report.. we paid them and they posted a rebuttle but did not remove it, when i confronted them they said that they would not remove it unless i paid them. beware of this guy

I would to amend this report and state that in the end he was honorable and refunded our money.

Our case we felt was a little unique - we were told to send a non-refundable deposit through paypal for an engine on ebay.  Once we knew it wasn't going to be fully through paypal and ebay we decided not to purchase the engine because we wanted the protection from ebay and paypal of the warranty because we had a problem once before with someone else and really wanted to be able to rely on ebay and paypal if needed.  

Seller just immediately said - non-refundable and we felt that wasn't correct.  In our anger we filed this report. 

We do not know his work and do not want in any way want to damage his reputation since he has honored us by giving us our money back.

 Sorry you feel that way.. you could have bought on eBay if you wanted or direct.. your choice.. regardless deposits are non refundable.. you knew this before you paid it.. happy new year
