Things are moving in a decidedly different direction at Willow Creek, San Martin, Las Vegas, and not for the better.

Willow Creek has brought in a new CEO, Randy Barlow, a k a Randall Bruce Barlow, and along with him comes a past bankruptcy from his days in Florida (which included a laundry list of 22 creditors), a Napoleon complex, some very bizarre work behavior and other rumors that we're checking to verify.

According to court records, among the almost two dozen creditors listed in Randy and wife Joni Jill Barlow's Florida bankruptcy filing were a number of credit card companies and banks, such as American Express (Optima Card, travel services), Citibank, First Bank Card Center, Barnet Bank, Consolidated Bank, MBNA and First Union Bank, among others; Ford Motor Company Credit, Nissan, the St. Lucie County Tax Collector, Florida Department of Revenue and assorted small businesses and private citizens. If Randy Barlow can't manage his own credit cards, how can he be trusted to operate a multimillion dollar business?

This is a bad choice for Willow Creek, when they need to be moving in a direction away from people with questionable backgrounds. This is nothing personal as it relates to Randy Barlow -- everyone deserves second chances. It's just the simple fact that the leadership of Willow Creek, under Donald Herman (whose problems have been well detailed by others, just Google him), keeps making questionable decisions, particularly with personnel. Willow Creek got rid of some very competent people in their former regime to try to cover up financial issues (misappropriation of funds), then they let a registered sex offender in as a maintenance worker and give him the keys to the kingdom of elderly residents who are entirely vulnerable, and now this -- hiring Randall Bruce Barlow with a past history of bankruptcy as their CEO.

And this is not all that's going on. We're also checking out allegations from very reputable sources of sexual harassment taking place there, excessive drinking and other bizarre behavior being exhibited by Randy Barlow. Employees there just are not very happy with this recent CEO hire.

Willow Creek needs to be squeaky clean. Willow Creek needs to be bullet-proof. And they need to start operating that way now.

The Person Writing All of These Reports Was Fired

AUTHOR: Nurse2Go - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 14, 2012

So, I do not usually go on these sites, but a friend of mine told me what was going on, so I looked.  First off, when I was working as a healthcare nurse, I was at Willow Creek nearly every day and they treat their residents like GOLD.  The place is immaculate, and the staff is friendly and kind to EVERYONE, all of the time.  I would go to a lot of assisted living places with my line of work and Willow Creek has always been head & shoulders above all the others in town.  I would happily let my own father live there and never have an ounce of concern.

what makes me really angry is that the person who is writing this stuff is an ex employee who was fired.  I know this because one of my new co-workers is friends with her.  Her name is Jennifer **** and apparently she's really proud of what she's doing.  She was having an affair with another guy, who was also fired, and the two of them were into very shady things, both on and off the clock.  Jennifer and this other guy were fired for very good reason.

Jennifer was suppose to be marketing the building, but instead was out on dates in the afternoon, and shopping, getting her hair done, and working for other people on side jobs.  She has a terrible reputation in the industry, this so-called "friend" of hers told me that she was doing illegal stuff at another asssited living that she worked at a few years back, and it was so bad that the authorities had to be called.  She would brag to people about what a "sweet set up" she had at Willow Creek, because no one ever checked up on her or held her accountable for anything that she did.

Well, apparently they wised up and started looking into what she was doing, and the guy she was having an affair with, and they both got fired for proper business reasosns.  I was told that she was so bitter and angry about this that she decided to get even and start smearing their name all over town.  She actually brags about this stuff, she has this "no one messes with me and gets away with it" attitude.  Even when she was in the wrong and got caught.

My friend also told me that she not only writes the initial rip offreport, but then she goes in and makes new accounts to respond to the report, to make it seem more "real"  so baiscally she's sitting at home, responding to herself.  Can you say derranged?  This is a woman, who I think has to be over 40 years old, with a young child, behaving like an absolute lunatic.  Nice example to your child.  What a shameful display of parenting and professionalism.

So when you see a back and forthwritten exchange on here of someone smearing this really awesome company, just picture in your head some crazy, bittermiddle-aged lady on her computer, logging in and out under different names.  My suggestion is that Jennifer quit cheating on her husband, fix her bad professional reputation and start focusing on her family, and rebuilding her career because this is just demented and sad for someone of her age and so-called "professional standing" to do.

Just in case you're keeping score (Ken), the website administrators here were kind enough to correct the typo in the original headline to Pagosa Springs. Thank you, RR.

re: Willow Creek, Las Vegas, Hires Randy Barlow as CEO

AUTHOR: WW - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 31, 2012

I have a source who personally knows Randy Barlow and has been out with him and has associated with him frequently. He's not a friend of Barlow, per se, but has been in his company on a number of occasions and he's confirmed to me the level of drinking alleged in the initial post here, and before I had even heard about this or seen this on Ripoff Report. Excessive drinking?

That's affirmative. And the level is such that it doesn't surprise me that this would go on in the workplace at Willow Creek with Barlow in charge. He's a charismatic guy, which, I guess, is part of the reason he got hired at Willow Creek to begin with. But he is a partier, and not exactly politically correct in work behavior, if you catch my drift. A ticking time bomb for the HR department.

And it doesn't surprise me about the past bankruptcy, either. The pieces just seem to fall together here with Barlow. The threads here have got it about right. If you're looking for Mr. Squeaky Clean riding in on the white horse with shining armor, that's not the kind of guy you're getting with Barlow!

The headline should read: Willow Creek Las Vegas, Hires Randy Barlow of Pagosa Springs, Colorado - With Past Bankruptcy - as CEO ...

It's a simple typo.

And, Mr. Ken, if you're hanging your entire "probably bogus" theory on an obvious typo, well ... sorry, my friend, but you're in a sad state of denial if that's all you've got to combat what I wrote. That just doesn't cut it. What I wrote IS the REAL story.

Flynrider, I don't agree with you about what you said regarding other CEOs having bankruptcies in their past and using that as an excuse for giving Randy Barlow a pass. Your argument sounds like one a kid might use: "Well so-and-so did it! What's wrong with me doing it?" No matter how many wrongs you add up, it just never comes up as equaling something right. Not only that, but this bankruptcy was not a bankruptcy related to a business venture. It's a personal bankruptcy. Those are two entirely different animals. How can someone who can't manage their own personal credit cards or bank accounts, and leaves small businesses and private citizens in the lurch by not paying what he owes them (theft, by any definition), be entrusted with managing a multimillion dollar operation such as Willow Creek? It was not the case with Randy Barlow of a risky business venture gone bad -- like he was overseeing some private equity firm taking a financial risk on trying to bail out a foundering business. It's pure mismanagement. It's just as fundamental as that.

And don't forget the context of all this given the recent past history of Willow Creek. As I wrote in the original post, this is just not the way for Willow Creek to go. While I grant you that Randy Barlow deserves a second chance, it just shouldn't be at Willow Creek at this time. Not with financial allegations of misappropriation of funds, sex offenders roaming the grounds, an L2K, suicides, substance abuse and a backpack full of weapons in the picture. Please. Not Randy Barlow, not at Willow Creek, not now.

Your complaint is probably bogus, especially since their is no "Padosa Springs" in Colorado..

at the number of CEOs that have a bankruptcy in their history.    In the business world,  you have to risk something to get something.   Sometimes the risk doesn't pan out and you go bust.    That hardly disqualifies a person for life.    What really matters is what they've done since bankruptcy.   Odd that you don't mention how long ago this event occured.

I don't know this person or you, but this post screams of someone grasping at straws to discredit someone else.
