I received a letter dated 1 June 2007, stating that I was a third "category" winner for a cruise to the Carribeans on the Intrepid Ocean "Linear". The letter had a very convincing looking check enclosed for $2850.00 which was to "assist me in paying for the service change and tax fees." I was to call Joseph Cole at 1-604-339-2885 for further information.

When I called that number a Jamaican sounding gentleman that spoke broken english answered and told me to deposit the check and to call him back once it was deposited for further infomation on how to receive the remainder of my $75,000 winnings. I asked why I need to deposit the check in order to get the other information on my payment. He repeated the scripted item verbage and then put me on hold for the "accounting" department.

Lisa Diaz from Accounting answered and said that she worked for Winston Financial Management and that all I needed to do was to deposit the check so that it could help me pay the taxes on the "Cash" prize that I had won. Once the check was deposit and I contacted them they would then FEDEX me the check with in 48 hours. I told them that I didn't need assistance in paying the taxes on the money that I had "won" and would just like the rest of the instructions on how to get the $75,000. She asked me if I was familiar with FEDEX and that they would send me the money once I deposited the check. And that is where the conversation ended.

I then went to the computer and googled the company name, Winston Financial Management and was first directed to the Ripoff Report. All of these stories are very familiar, except it appears as though they have upped the ante from $50,000 to $75,000.

Now that I have read these rippoff reports I think I will have some fun with these guys before they recognize that it is me that keeps calling.
