I was lied to and mislead.I was told the service would cost 9 dollars a month, it was 9 dollars plus 80 dollar yearly fee. When I questioned it they told me it was a fee visa charges to be allowed to accept credit cards, which is a lie.I was not told about any three year contract or I wouldn't have agreed to anything. I initialed a piece of paper with my rates on it and that was it.Dissatisfied with the company I called to cancel my service and followed their instructions word for word. A couple of days later there was a 495 dollar charge to my account, I called to see what this was about and for the first time I was told I broke a 3 year contract. They had multiple opportunities to let me in on this little detail and not once did they mention it.The more I complained the more I realized the are used to this situation, since they have a legal department to handle these arguments. It seems fishy to me that a company has to have a legal department to answer contract complaints.I believe instead of offering a good service, they try to take advantage of unsuspecting business owners.I am now on a mission to let as many people as I can to not do business with this company, so this doesn't happen to them.I have found endless complaints about them through all my postings so it's not real big news that they are no good.

Definitely Rehearsed

AUTHOR: dav3nasty - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 13, 2010

I have been banking with this bank for a while as a basic consumer with a checking account, I agree with your statements about the companies rehearsed attitude to complaints.

If they truly cared they could have made an effort to tell you about there fees and so forth. It is most likely they didn't know themselves but I guess you have to read every single piece of black and white paper handed to you so that they cant "rip you off".

Not only are there tellers rehearsed but there overseas customer service is as well. They can't really explain anything they just repeat the same policy. They have strange business hours and use it to take advantage of there customers. I wouldn't be surprised if they did it to you too.

Now if there customer service has to keep repeating the same policy to its callers, then maybe its time to let the tellers in on the secret as well. Or even better, put the processing policies on a paper that says "read me or you won't be happy with us, but you probably won't like what you read anyway"

Although I wonder if there legal department was outsourced as well?

Can you post a link to the terms?

AUTHOR: Ronny g - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, September 11, 2010

trust me I am not trying to defend this Red riding hood Forrest wood bank or whatever the heck they are called. Never heard of them and never really care to. But I may be able to offer advice or recourse if I understand what you actually signed up for.

Now granted, 80 dollars a year is around 22 cents a day, certainly not bankrupting a business..but I understand as well principle is taken into consideration.

If this bank or whatever this keebler elf forrest log cabin tree company is did not fully disclose what the fees are for closing a visa card account, then certainly this report has some merit.

But I tried with some intensity to find any terms online regard closing a visa card account with this magical forrest of whimsy bank or whatever, and come up empty handed.
