I received a call saying that I had won a magazine stay of my choice for three days. I thought this was strange but I had registered at a few places prior to this day because of planning a wedding and had won a few things prior to this so I thought it was okay. Come to find out though it was nothing but a scam and now I cant figure out how to stop it.
The person I talked to said he was from Worldwide Readers and that I had won the above item. Then he said for an additional $6.00 I could get 4 different magazine subscriptions. Well I fell for it and gave them my C.C. number. They charged 29.90 to the card. They said I would receive paper bills and have yet to see that they just charge my card. As soon as I got the packet in the mail I called to cancel because of research of the scamming and they originally said I had 10 days from the date I received the packet, but then when I called they said it was 10 days from the call. They will not let me cancel and keep charging my C.C. number! Please Be Aware!
