Yelp Yelp.Com, yelpers UNSUBSTANTIATED BY ITS OWN ACTIONS. MISREPRESENTATION - SLANDER Scottsdale , Arizona

Yelp promotes the slander and or misrepresentation of businesses when they add or remove legitimate reviews both good and bad of businesses at their own discretion.  This policy removes any legitimacy of the company because it fails to openly display the true results of public opinion.  Furthermore, Yelp places greater validity in the opinions of those who have been yelping for a longer period of time which is again wrong when it comes to public opinion polls/reviews.  If you are new to yelp your opinion and review of a particular business does not carry the same value and may be removed unlike those who have a history of supporting the organization or who have become true yelpers.  This unfortunate policy has been a disaster to many small businesses as noted in the multiple rip off reports and class action lawsuits which I am sure will continue unless they rightfully adopt a policy of full disclosure of all the reviews of registered clients.  In my particular case a new restaurant opened in Phoenix, Arizona and they openly asked their patrons to put their honest reviews on yelp.  Many signed up gave their email address and photos, biographys etc. to obtain the yelp account then wrote honest reviews and yelp removed them even though non of these people had any connection with the restaurant beyond a meal.  Slander and Misrepresentation can sincerely impact those business owners who work so hard to become successful in small business.  YELP stop trying to sway public opinions of small businesses it is unfair and in some case possibly illegal.
