I sold on EBAY and shipped some solar collectors to a person in Colorado. I was referred to Freightquote.com by EBAY. I called freightquote about the shipment and was told the CLASS and the cost. I paid Freightquote and was told the shipment would be picked up the next day.

It took 7 days for the shipment to be picked up by SAIA. The customer called and said that SAIA called them and told them they stuck a loading fork through the shipment and refused to accept the freight. The next day SAIA through freightquote sent an email they were doubling the charges agreed to and were going to charge my Credit Card. Freightquote did ILLEGALLY and without authorization make a charge on my Credit Card. I immediately cancled the credit card and filed a false charge to the credit card company. Which, by the way, was Paypal, also owned by EBAY which dult notified that the company was going to attempt a fraudulent Credit Card charge and DID NOTHING TO STOP IT.

SO, it looks like EBAY and PayPal are equally involved in the scam with freightquote and SAIA. So far, 10 days later, SAIA has refused to return the damaged freight for inspection. It looks like they are using the stall to get past their ficticious time of filing. I am not worried. I have the time and the money to SUE ALL OF THEM, EBAY, PayPal, Freightquote, and SAIA. I now have all their legal addresses and who to serve their summons to. I am preparing a Federal Lawsuit for fraud, attempted fraud and theft against each Defendant.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

FQ issues

AUTHOR: Gtpkid - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, August 16, 2007

Jerry --

I am a previous employee of FQ.com and I worked in the sales department. FQ is notorious for charging people's CC's without approval if added charges are processed from the carrier.

Regarding Pickup of the freight, that could have been a couple things. FQ.com does an auto dispatch and the carriers are supposed to get those to pickup the freight. I'm not sure where LaGrange is but if it's not a major metro area, then the carrier may only come by your area once a week.

Freight getting damaged is nothing new with SAIA, they are pretty bad about damaging freight. I would never have my clients ship with SAIA, unless it was something that couldn't get damaged (ie. steel rod or something).

It sounds like the carrier re-classed your freight after they damaged it. My guess is the sales rep put the wrong freight class on it when they shipped it and didn't check to make sure it was the correct class.

You need to call SAIA and get the local terminal that your damaged freight is at and ask for the terminal manager. Tell them you want to see pictures of the damanged freight.

Good luck with everything.
