Magic Jack MagicJack Would not easily refund service that never worked consistently. InteInternetrnet

I paid Magic Jack about $31 for its one year service.  After spending over an hour with at least 3 of their chat line specialists, it still would not work consistently.  The problem was not my telephones nor my computer.  Despite my best efforts to resolve since I really did want it to work, and despite Magic Jack's 30 day guarantee, customer service agents would not refund the money even though I was well within the 30 day period.  Instead, customer service said something to the effect that they would take the issue to the Billing Department to discuss.  I stated they should give me the refund immediately, and, because the agent said that wouldn't happen, asked when they would get back to me.  She said she did not know!  I asked for a copy of the chat transcript too, but never received it.  Luckily I copied the transcript myself before that stopped the chat.

Magic Jack never got back to me.  Luckily, I paid with my creditcard - I disputed the charge and sent in the chat as well as other corroborating information.

It is great that Magic Jack now has "customer service" agents now on chat.  But at some point, instead of wasting customer's time asking them to quadruple check if one's computer and telephone's are working, the Magic Jack personnel need to accept that the problem is most likely the Magic Jack.  Regardless, if the customer is not happy with the service within the designated trial period, Magic Jack should refund customer's money quickly and without hassle.
