There seems to be a problem with my Experian credit report, and I can't access it.
According to a company I was trying to establish credit with, there is a problem with my social security number associated with Experian. I can't get through to Experian on the phone because their system requires a social security number. When I enter my social security number I get sent through the phone tree a few times, and then it hangs up on me. This is literally a "Catch 22" problem with no possible solution. Experian doesn't list an email address, they only list a snail mail address in Texas. THESE PEOPLE REPORT CREDIT RATINGS!!! This is so bad it would almost be funny if it wasn't so serious!
Why do we let irresponsible companies dictate what happens to our lives??? I think it's time to end consumer credit. The world worked just fine before the advent of 24% - 34% interest on money you don't have. Maybe home prices would come down if people couldn't get huge mortgages on credit? END THE CENTRAL BANKING SYSTEM! Lets go back to the Gold standard and end the nonsense.

There wasn't one thing you said in your rebuttal that was correct. Not one. No, I don't work for any bank, credit agency, or anything financially related. I just happen to be really REALLY knowlegable about these sorts of things, more than your lawyer would. All of those assumptons just made an a*s out of you. I would not worry about my life since this has nothing to do with me. This has everything to do with YOU, otherwise you would not have responded the manner in which you did. Just stop with the conspiracy theories; the only people that believe in the Gold Standard are morons who know nothing about economics and don't know any better.
No lawyer is going to be able to help you except write a letter, which you can do for free (can you guess why I know that??). You're not going to be able to sue Experian or any of the credit reporting agencies either since no lawyer would take a case like this because there's no money in it for them. Be prepared shell out lots of $$ if you go that route. I'm certainly not saying credit agencies are great either - 1 person in about 10 has an error on a credit report, however it is fairly simple to fix...and yes via snail mail. You actually have no recourse except to do EXACTLY as I told you to do in my first response. Go find a credit counselor through AAA who can look into your problem and help you figure out exactly what to do.
In the meanwhile, no one sane believes in going back to the Gold Standard. No one.

You speak like a Banker, I'll bet you are one. In any case you are evidently working for the system that uses debt to create money.
How exaclty is snail mail going to protect someones idenity? It doesn't! Snail mail is much easier to deceive people than email, and the time delays enable nefarious enities to dig in a little deaper into someone elses identity. The Court systems use email these days. Perhaps you should catch up with technology?
There is encrypted email. In any case, Identity can be verified mush faster by email than by snail mail using the very same process.
Sorry, but my opinion is not disuaded by silliness. You have leveled no real argument for your uneducated response.
My Lawyers and Investigators are looking into this breach currently, so I'm personally covered. How about you?
Enjoy your life while it lasts, everything is about to change for you. :)

There is a reason why you can't deal with Experian via e-mail and hard to deal with them via phone. The only way you can really deal with them is via snail mail. You certainly don't someone posing as you to be able to screw around with your credit simply by posing as you online? Same thing with a phone call. So they make all correspondences via snail mail the only way in which you can contact them.
Why do we let irresponsible companies dictate what happens to our lives??? From whose perspective? Yours? I don't think so. There are far more irresponsible people than there are companies.
The world worked just fine before the advent of 24% - 34% interest on money you don't have. Maybe home prices would come down if people couldn't get huge mortgages on credit? No, actually the world didn't work so well. It was made up of unregulated organizations (read loan sharks) who took out people's kneecaps when loans weren't repaid. 34% would be a bargain BTW. Home prices are driven by supply and demand, not whether someone can afford a loan. That's basic economics.
Lets go back to the Gold standard and end the nonsense. STOP. Please stay off the internet when reading about the Gold Standard. You have no clue what you're talking about. That ship sailed and you will never see that again unless you want to see the US economy contract to about 15%-20% of what it is today. Going back to the gold standard also has nothing to do with your credit, your credit score, or anything else related to your problem with Experian.
Your best route to fix your situation would be to go somewhere where you can work with someone to more easily identify the problems with your report. If you're a member of AAA, you may wish to check out whether they offer such services in your location. If not, you can possibly go to your bank for the same thing.
