Within the past couple of years I have ordered flowers from 1-800-FLOWERS.COM.
This particular order was for Mother's Day on 5-8-05. My mother-in-law received them today, almost DEAD!!
The kicker is that I've sent her flowers on 3 different occasions and all 3 times the flowers were either dead or almost dead!! 1-800-FLOWERS offered to replace them, however, the sentimental moment is gone.
So what's the point? My mother-in-law told me NOT to have them replace the order, just to give me credit, which they did. THAT is not the point. The point is I put my trust in them to send flowers for special occasions and they deliver junk! So what if they offer to replace them. I shouldn't have to have every order delivered TWICE before they get it right!!
I was so embarrassed when she called and told me "Thanks for the dead flowers". Nice, huh?

If your flowers were florist delivered, you paid 1-800-flowers.com $10.99 just to forward the order on to a local florist in you mother-in-law's area.
Next time, consider calling a local florist direct and find out what they suggest as their top quality, peak of season flowers and designs. You'll save almost $11 and be able to speak directly to the source of your order.
You are more patient than most to give 1-800-Flowers three chances. Perhaps you were enticed by a discount, a low price or simply the conveniece. At any rate, poor quality flowers are never a good deal.

Three times? Enough said. To avoid this ripoff in the future, you might try someone or something else that delivers subpar service AFTER the first time.
