Convergent Outsourcing, Inc. Sherman Companies Lying Scammers, Consumers BEWARE!!! Houston, Texas

I received two letters today from Convergent Outsourcing, Inc. (whose company has approx. 14 related companies or AKA's) declaring that I owe Capital One 1312.50 and SpringLeaf Financial $334.87. However, I have never used either of these companies. In addition, I have not been a victim of ID theft as evidenced by all 3 of my credit reports.

The fact that I've never had accounts at these companies is red flag enough, however they provide an 855 number that is not toll free to call them. Also, it's worth noting that the letter is showing the company as being in Houston, TX but the address on the letters says Wixom, MI.

Even more shady, the payment address is a PO Box 9004 in Renton, WA. Lastly, these two separate letters for two fake creditors are my initial contact from Convergent Outsourcing, Inc. Surprisingly, they offer me a great deal of "settling" now for approximately 35% of each of the fake amounts due.

I am not the most street smart person but I know that if somebody owed me money, I'm not offering them a deal for 35% of what's owed. They know what they're doing is wrong and until they are punished will continue raking in money from people who are scared or uninformed. I'm not taking it and neither should you!

If suppose if I were dumb, bold, and criminal minded, I could rake in thousands a week scamming people in this manner as they probably do. I have heard of scams like this but seeing it for myself makes my blood boil because people who are scared into paying them or are uninformed are being taken advantage of.

These people are scammers hoping to get $$$$ from the uninformed. Even when they spend thousands to reach people that know it's a scam, they make enough money off of the uninformed few to keep doing it. Why won't the FTC shut these scammers down?
