Dish Network I was transferred to the "Presidents office"( per Dish Network) who stated I could not cancel because service was added to my account and this extended my contract by another year.  Littleton CO

 I contacted DISH approximately 6 months ago when I was unable to work and they have given me a $10 hardship credit on my bill.  I had filed for disability and willl not have a hearing until April, 2016 and have NO Income.

 

I was transferred the the president's office where he told me that he would give me a $10.00 credit on my Dish plan and the bill would only be $11.39 for 12 months and then I would owe $30.00 more to cancel and not have my credit card charged the $160.00 now.  I said he could not do that, an unauthorized charge and he said he could.  The contract amount was extended by a year when my son (unknowing by me) added services - so ADDED 1 year to my contract

 

Then he said I already gave you the credit so your good to go, well I am NOT.

 

Is Dish Network so desparete for cusumers they have to "LOCK you into a CONTRACT?"

 

I do not even have $11.39 - DO I have ANY rights here?

ASSERT  YOURSELF !!!   NO  ONE  OWNS  YOU !!

 

    You've  done  business   with  DISH  NETWORK,  and  they  sold  you

on  their  wonederful,  humane  methods.   Well,   DISH   NETWORK  

is  not   a  CHARITY.

 

FIRST,  CANCEL  YOUR  CREDIT  CARD,  and   get  a  new  one.   They  can't  use  your  money,  if  they  can't    get  it.    

 

CONTACT  the  CFPB.GOV.  

 

That's  the  Consumer  Finance  Protection  Bureau,  which  is  a  NEW

Governmental    Bureau,   wich  began  it's  existence  two  years  ago

as  a  frontline  protection   for   we  consumers.

 

Now,  if  they  (  DISH ) have  violated   the  law,  either  criminal  or  

civil,   you  can   prevail in  court  against  them.

 

And  you  must  remember   one  of  the  cornerstones  of   contract law:

ANY  CONTRACT   THAT  IS  ILLEGAL,  IS  NOT  BINDING.

 

But,  notwithstanding   any   legal  action,   the  best   guard  dog  over

your   money,  is  your  own   common  sense,   and   your  willingness

to   get   very  basic   in  protecting  yourself.

 

Any   CREDIT   or  DEBIT  CARD  NUMBERS  that   they  have  on  file:

CANCEL  THEM  NOW.

 

If  they  make  an  assertion  that   you  owe  them  money,    so  what ?

 

It's   DISH  that has  the  problem,  NOT  YOU !!!

 

Every  time   you  get   a   statement  from   them,  or  a  

notice,   file  it.   If  you  get  a   notice  from  a  collections

bureau,  DENY  IT.

 

CHECK  YOUR  CREDIT  SCORE !!!!   If   they  put  a  derrogatory  

remark  on  your  credit  history,   contact   the   reporting  agency.

 

Raise  all  the  HELL   that  you  can.   Make   VERY  UNHAPPY  

remarks  on   their  FACEBOOK  page.

 

Do  what  you  have  to  do  to  defend  yourself.
