I saw an ad for Dish Network and thought I could save about $10 a month by getting that and getting rid of cable. Boy, am I sorry I did that! I am now paying twice as much as I paid for cable.
I signed up for the 120-channel package with Dish Network for SUPPOSEDLY $37.99 plus an extra $5 to get local channels. The closest "local" channel I get is in Pennsylvania (75 miles away), and I live in West Virginia! Therefore, I get no school closings, weather reports, etc.
My supposed $42.99 package has turned into $69 a month. They told me it's because of taxes and the fact that I didn't have the right kind of phone line or something, which I was never told about when they installed it.
Three months after I got Dish Network, they added an extra $2 onto the monthly charge, making it now...supposedly...$44.99, yet still they are charging $69.
The one channel that I watch the most was taken off the list of programs I signed up to receive, and now they want me to pay extra to get that channel!
Do NOT get Dish Network!!!!!!!!!!

One thing I forgot to add. By the time you figure out that you've been fed a bunch of lies and been ripped off, you're in a one year contract that you cannot get out of without paying hundreds of dollars. They can breach the contract, but you cannot!
