D&J Auto Parts Another ripped off customer of D&J Auto Parts Richmond Indiana

I put a request out on the net for a right side taillight for a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I got a reply back from D&J Auto Parts from Jay Smith that he had one and the cost was $56.00 shipping included. So I called the next day and ordered it. Gave them my credit card info and they said it would ship out that day since I called so early.

Two weeks went by and I had not received my taillight so I called them back. I was told that someone dropped it and broke it and they would have to locate another before I could get my part. I ened up having to call back after three weeks of waiting and they told me that it had been shipped and it would be here in four days. Finally I got it after seven days and opened it and it was the wrong taillight. I immediately called Smith Auto Parts in Fairfield IA and reported the mistake. They then told me that I had to call D&J Auto Parts to make a report of the wrong part being sent.

Needless to say the tug of war is still going on 3 months later. Now Dave at D&J is saying now, that I didn't report the mistake within 15 days of receiving the wrong taillight and that it is going to have a problem getting the right one. Which is wrong cause I called the same day of receiving the wrong taillight. But, he says that there is no record of my phone call any of the times that I called.


If anyone reading this can give me suggestions on how to remedy this problem please feel free to do so. Once they get your money they could care less if you get anything.
