D & J AUTO PARTS BROKEN TRANNY ripoff RICHMOND Indiana

I purchased a transmission from D&J auto parts in February 2006 $750.00. It had a 90 day warranty. In April the car stopped working and according to the mechanic,it was the transmission. I called Dave the owner and he said he would send out a replacement. Keep in mind my car was still sitting in the mechanics yard. End of April no transmission. I called Dave and he said he would check into it and call me back. No transmission and no call back from Dave.

Begining of May call Dave to inquire and was told that the transmission was in route and should be there that Friday. He also said he would give us $150.00 for the car being at the mechanics for so long. Friday still no transmission. Called Dave again and asked him for the name of the company and the tracking number that was used for the delivery of the transmission. He could not give me either and told me he would look into it and call me back.

Mid April no call and still no transmission. Called Dave again and he told me they were dealing with a new delivery company and he could not find the mechanics place of business and sent the tranny back. He said he would have them redeliver it. End of April still no transmission. I called Dave and told him at this point I woul dhave to cancel and wanted my card refunded and the old tranny picked up. He apologized and told me by that monday 05/01/06 my card would be refunded.

This is May 16th and still no refund. This has been the worst dealing with a company that I have had to deal with. I actuall called Dave last week and he stated he thought everything was taken care of and that the transmssion was picked up and my card credited. I told him it has not been.

I called him today 05/16/06 and his co worker told me he was very busy and could not take my call. He asked me what was it in regards to and once again I explained. He put me on hold and came back to tell me that Dave has been very busy and it slipped his mind.

I have had enough, I want my card refunded and this broke tranny picked up. He should also pay for storing my car at the mechanics for over a month.

He is very unprofessional in his dealing with the public. I do not recommend anyone to use this company.
