 I initially went with this company while I was enrolled in online college coarses because ATT is not offered in our area yet. I was a little uncomfortable paying almost $100 per motnh on services when I used to only pay $50 for unlimitted use through ATT. I needed the web for school, so I went through with it, not aware that my contract was for 2 years. I also noted that internet service was slow, and not as fast as promoted for satelite internet. I had the 10 GB deal, and seemed to always run out of usage before the middle of the month, even though I was hardly using the web at all and my account was passcode protected so neighbors couldn't pirate.

I decided to disconnect my services and go back to using my verizon air card, but when told I would have to pay over $250 for ending the contract I had decided against it. I then lost contact with the service rep while he was disclosing this information, and never was able to get back in touch with him to end the conversation and let him know that I WOULD NOT be ending my contract. I then get an email the next day telling me that my services were stopped and I now owed them almost $300 in fees.

When I called CS (twice because the first service rep hung up on me) I was then told they would refund my money but I would have to pay $60 for reconnection that I would then get back. When she put me on "hold", she actually hung up on me. The second time I spoke with a rep I was told I would only be refunded half my money and have to pay $100 for reconnection. Not only is this wrong, but it is criminal. Now I can't sign onto my account at all to see what the fees are for, or to dispute the charges. It's like they totally erased my account, and I'm still going to be charged $300 whether I like it or not. This is EXTREMELY frustrating and brought me to tears just from anger while waiting over an hour on the phone for help.

Reconnect fee

Every rep that I spoke to said I had to pay a reconnect fee.  One even went to the "higher ups" who also said I would need to pay a reconnect fee.  What your saying is false ma'am, and after the fact.

Hi,
I'm sorry to hear about the issues you've experienced with our service. Our service plans start at $49.99 to $129.99, depending on how much data you need. In addition to the service plan, there is also an equipment lease fee that could be paid upfront or monthly.All of the service plans require a 24 month contract. I'm sorry to hear that you were having issues with the data plan you were on. We do have other options and different service plans designed to fit the customer's needs.


The early termonation fee is $15 per each month remainig in the contract.If the customer service rep disconnected your account in error,we could have escalated the issue immediately and got you reconnected without fees.Any customer rep could have escalated that issue for you, not just the rep that disconnected your service.When you disconnect your account, you will not have access to the online email or eCare.We can still pull up your disconnected account and review your invoice to see what the charges were for.
