Exede Internet - ViaSat, Inc. Simply the worst internet scam available anywhere.... USA Nationwide

I installed Exede Internet's (from ViaSat, Inc.) sattelite dish on my house for the "high speed internet" they advertised on their website. Not only was the connection slower than any coffee shop/airport Wifi, but I couldn't even access many sites I use on a regular basis because of a faulty DNS connection. 

In addition, because the service was so slow (it would take me 7-10 minutes just to log in to my simple email site), we ate through all our bandwith in only 5 days (and yes, we were using the highest bandwith package they offered).

They offered us more bandwith at $10 per gigabyte, which is outrageous.

Anyway, after 2 weeks of spending countless hours on the phone with their customer support team... they simply could not get us any better connections or access to the sites we use each day for business, so I asked to cancel my account.

They said "Sure, but that will cost you $370 in early termination fees. PLUS you must climb up on your roof and remove the tranciever from the satellite dish or incurr another potential $300 in fines."

I said,"Why charge me these fees to cancel something that didn't work as promised?"

The response, "Because you are cancelling your account."

I said, "My account didn't work."

She said, "That's not our problem, sir. It's yours. You are cancelling your service early."

Frustrated with all the time I already wasted, I simply paid the fines and cancelled my account.

So for anyone thinking about getting "high speed" internet, AVOID Exede Internet at all costs.

They will charge you a small fortune for the worst service ever and then charge you another small fortune to cancel the service early.'

Let the buyer beware!
