Express Auto Parts ripoff dishonest and unethical scam New York Internet

I placed an online order for some windshield wipers through Express Auto Parts in January, 2005. They immediately processed a charge for the part, including shipping, and sent me an email indicating that a tracking number would be forthcoming.

A month later, I had heard nothing, so I sent them an email (there is NO telephone number or street address on their website, expressautoparts.com). They replied only to tell me that my order had been cancelled because the "part is no longer available". There was no mention of a credit or if the company planned to take any further action.

I emailed them to request a credit for the part, and was told that it would process within 30 days.

Thirty days passed with no credit, so I sent them another email. The response was that they would consult their "credit department".

When I sent YET ANOTHER email, I received the following response:"Please be advised that due to a recent change in credit card processors, we cannot issue a credit to your account at this time. Please contact your credit card company directly in order to receive a proper credit in a timely manner."

When I contacted my credit card company, they were unable to assist because the charge was older than 60 days.

This has been an extremely frustrating and time-consuming experience. At this point, it is certainly not about the money (which was under $30), but strictly the principle of the matter. It makes me sick to see this company print positive remarks from the media on their website. They are disreputable, unethical liars.
