I went to Fantastic Sams to have my hair highlighted. Instead I am suffering hair loss and multi colored hair.

My hsir is damaged and I had to pay $29.00 for the color.

First, the stylist put a permanent color deposit on my hair that was suppose to cover the gray around my fron hairline. My scalp became irritated and red.

But, she continued by putting my under the hair dryer and she rinsed it when I could no longer take the burning sensation on my scalp.

Once the color was removed all the hair one inch from my scalp was blonde and the rest was black. The stylist tried to tell me that was pretty. Please tell me how that can be pretty?

Then she put another color deposit on my hair after it dried to put color back into the blonde. While she was doing that she foiled in another color.

The results, my scalp was left burnt red and my skin was broken out on my face, ears and neck.

Now my hair is falling out from the scalp. I am sitting here trying to condition my hair to stop it from falling out of my head.

I sent an email to then and they have not responded. I want to be compensated. A conditioning, a wig, a weave something.

Please don't visit these salons.

Not All Fantastic Sams Are Created Equal

AUTHOR: Frank - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, November 22, 2004

I'm very sorry that you had an unsatisfactory experience at a Fantastic Sams salon. I regret that there are poorly owned and operated salons that negatively reflect all of the Fantastic Sams salons.

My wife and I own three Fantastic Sams salons (Brighton, Northglenn, and Longmont, CO). In such a competitive industry, I firmly believe that we must maintain higher standards not only than other Fantastic Sams salons, but ANY salon. My salons are successful because I enforce higher standards than my competition and my stylists are aligned with my goals and beliefs.

Please understand that, like anmy franchised operation, not all are created and operated equally.

The same is true for McDonalds, Holiday Inn, Dairy Queen, etc. As a result, you can, and probably have, been to a clean, friendly McDonalds as well as a filthy, unfriendly McDonalds. The same goes for most hotels. You've probably also been to a good Firestone or Goodyear as well as a rip-off Firestone or Goodyear.

The standards of customer care and quality of any franchised operation is established, maintained, and enforced by the owners - not the staff, or even the manager.

This doesn't mean we are perfect. Yes, we screw up, albeit very infrequently. But, when we do, we fess up to it. Either my wife or I personally contact the customer and make it right - at any cost.

Again, I am VERY sorry you had an unhappy experience. I don't blame you for never going back. But, please don't make us all suffer the consequences. If you are ever in the areas of my salons, I would be happy to prove my point.

Out of over 960 salons in the Denver/Boulder area, only 12 are members of the Denver/Boulder BBB. MY THREE SALONS REPRESENT 25% OF THE MEMBERSHIP AND ARE THE ONLY CHAIN SALON MEMBERS.
