FEIT electric CFL bulbs fail Pico Rivera, California

FEIT Electric CFL light bulbs are junk.  I purchased FEIT bulbs approx 1 yr ago because a Sunbeam bulb caught fire.  A year later after moderate use the bulb flickered and failed.  It didn't live up to the promised (hyped) long life. 

I assume that these are manufactured in China, although it was not clear on any web site that I could find.  If so, US Trade Commission or some other fed agency should include these products on banned lists based on the any number of reasons inlcuding pollution.  These bulbs contain mercury so if they are burning out in a year instead of the advertised 7 years that will add considerably to the mercury going into landfills, then drinking water, etc.
