As with previous posters, I suspected that my signed contract had been altered and thinking that was a preposterous thought on my part, did a web search and found dozens of similar reports.

I specified and re-emphasised repeatedly that I did not want to enter into any kind of equipment rental agreement for a credit card machine and was assured that none would be initiated. Am now locked into a $2,832 contract for a machine that can be purchased on line for $273. This, despite the fact that I had the sales person waive and initial termination fees/cancel entire paragraphs of the contract and was assured repeatedly that there was no charge for equipment.

The representative, Luke Wilson, returned the contract to me after making copies (I work from home) and later, reviewing it there are boxes that were checked, but NOT by me.

Further, the company outsources the process to SAGE and inadvertently opened TWO accounts in my company name (double charges).

No one answers or returns phone calls at ICON's Phoenix office. The credit card equipment rental is through another third party, FIRST DATA who are now debiting my bank account and with whom I have no written agreement. This is a total nightmare and I feel very much the victim of corporate greed, bait & switch tactics and fraudulent/unprofessional behavior.

We are always will to help in any way possible to any merchant. Truth, in this case this merchants was placed with Sage because our bank would not take them for what ever reason, and so that we can do what we offer we place them with Sage who is our secondary bank in order to provide them with the savings and rates and fees offered.

We always have the signed documents here in our office and if someone is disputing the validity of a signature or an initial and we too question that validity we would certainly do our part and ensure that the merchant is let out of any agreements as such. However if after looking at the original documents and not seeing any conclusive evidence that they are not accurate then there is not much we can do. This is not to say that we would tell you in every case that the claim is invalid as we have had cases in the past in which we have had to correct this and get everything reversed. Those cases are dealt with very seriously as we do not want anyone falsifying documents.

I can guarantee if Soshanna called our main line and pressed the customer service option she would have been answered swiftly and her concern would have been addressed by our team. They return every call every day and make sure that all issues have some sort of resolution. As I have stated in previous responses with regard to the cost of the lease, it is high we know that, but that is why and what is never mentioned here we offer a lifetime guarantee and replacement on all of our equipment.

If Soshanna would like to call us and work through this she is more than able and we are more than willing, but we have to be ready to work together and get this resolved which is always our goal.
