I've had to wait a while to write this report because of stalker behavior on the part of International Wig, who have a business address in Las Vegas, NV but actually operate out of Ashland, OR.

I placed an order with them about two years ago for two items.  One item arrived, the other didn't.  I emailed to ask about the missing item.  I was informed that the item was out of stock and cancelled.  I wrote back with a friendly suggestion that in the future they notify customers when they're unable to fulfill an order.  They wrote back telling me that I had to check my account on their site to find this out, and that this was common in online retailing.  I wrote back with, again, a reiteration of the friendly suggestion that they actually NOTIFY customers by email.  Suddenly we were into a back & forth where the owner started sending me rude emails that devolved from sarcasm into full-on name calling on their part.

I realized that the person I was dealing with was possibly insane, so decided to drop it.  Suddenly, I was notified that I had new comments posted to my blog -- there were about 3-5 attempts by someone who was obviously the same person to claim that they were a customer of mine and that I had screwed up their order and been rude.  This was kind of funny, as I don't do any kind of business.  I blocked the comments, started searching on the company, and found that NUMEROUS people had had similar experiences as me.  It appears that they are a small business basically run by one person, and that person will stalk you, post false & defamatory information about you, and more than one person reported having their email account hacked.  This sounds all a bit dramatic, and I wouldn't believe it if it hadn't happened to me.

Scariest of all, later that evening I received an email from my email provider saying that I had attempted to reset my email password, when I definitely had not (and was nowhere near a computer at the time the request was placed -- I double checked).  I suspect that the owner of International Wig may have attempted to hack my account.  I changed my passwords and decided to let it all drop, as I was actually scared at this point.

I wanted to report them to the Better Business Bureau (where they have an F rating -- look them up), but found out that the BBB requires you to give your name/information and reports that info to the company.  Given the fact that the owner had already tried to stalk me, I didn't want to escalate things any further, so I didn't report it for fear of further retaliation.
