I came into this gym to try out the free class because of my interest and curiosity in boxing. Upon completion of the class, I was interested but after seeing the prices I wasn't sure if I could afford it. As with any service that is eager for business I was offered a "special" price to lure me in. After seeing that I was still hesitant, seeing that I am fresh out of college and trying to make ends meet enough as it is, they tacked on a "7-day trial period". During this trial period I would be able to come back to the gym and see if it was the right "fit" for me. If I changed my mind at any time during this period I would be rewarded a full refund; no questions asked. After sleeping on the decision I decided that it wasn't right for me. The upfront fee with the enrollment fee as well as first month and last month charges was way too much for me at the time. I returned the very next day saying that I wanted to cancel my enrollment. At this point, the membership director tried to get me to stay on... etc etc. After seeing that i wasn't budging they told me to send an email to get it in writing and they would go from there. I sent the email that night, and exactly two weeks later I still have not heard anything back and they money hasn't been refunded in my account. I have contacted them twice in which they have said they have to go through corporate to get my money back - and the shouldbe able to get all of my money back. Ultimately, this has been extremely stressful to deal with and I feel as though I was lured into signing the contract under false pretenses. It turns out that they have a THREE day period where you can get your money back and if I had indeed waited for the seven day period to be up to cancel I would have sacrificed some of my money. All of this was not disclosed on the first day of signing up and if Ihad known that it would be this difficult to get out of what was supposed to be a trial I would have never done it. If there is this much of the run around given after cancelling in one day, I can only imagine what happens to those who try to cancel after the "trial period" has run its course.
