I bought a Magellan Roadmate 2035 with a "Free 60 day map update".
It came with the outdated map version 41 and when I called them on Jan., 06, 2012, I was told that the current version was V.45 However, their website would only allow to download V.43 and I asked tech support why I would not be able to get V.45, the answer was "V.45 is currently not yet available for your unit but it will be available soon". They also told me not to worry about the 60 day deadline. I followed up several times and it was always "No, the V.45 is not yet available, you still have to wait, we don't know when it is going to be available."
When I called today (April, 05) and talked to one of their lovely filipinas, probably in Cebu or Manila, the answer was "V.45 won't be available for your unit and if you want to update to V.43 you will have to pay for it because you are over the 60 days."
My recommendation: Stay away from Magellan, buy a Garmin.
