National Credit Acceptance ripoff not willing to help Settle debt. They threatened me with garnishments and pulled credit reports without permission. Scaramento California

My husband and I called to settle our claim. The collector I spoke with (will not include his name) was verbal abusive to my husband. He threatened me and my husband on two seperate occassions with garnishment of our wages without a court judgement.

He stated that the company would take approximately 327.00 every check until it was fully paid. He also stated that if we owned a home they would put a lien on it.

My husband and I tried to set up a payment plan or settle on the account. He said they accept anything , but if it was not in full then it would not help us settle the debt at all.

He stated that if we did not pay it in full then they would serve us with papers and take us to arbitration court. He stated that we would not step into a court room it would be done through paperwork only. He said that we would have to pay for attorney and court fees.
He also pulled our credit reports without our permission. He questioned my husband and I about our other personal financial obligations. He then stated that he did not care what other finances we were responsible for. I personally feel that he could have helped us if he really wanted to.
