Sacor financial who was once national credit acceptance and was forced to shut down its collection business due to fraudulent means of collecting debt, is back.

Sacor has been on a roll since November of 2011. They are up to bad business practices like they were before. They have somehow managed to purchase all of their collection debt from their old name, NCA, and open up shop under Sacor financial. The most amazing thing is, they are serving lawsuit paperwork to the debaters and hoping they show up in court, contracting the cases out to local attorneys who show up for them.

I was served a lawsuit to my house in the early morning hours on a weekend. That alone pissed me off, but what further pissed me off is the amount of the debt I original owed to HSBC grew by over 60%, not including the additional $2500 fee they tack on for court and attorney fee's. I was not going to give these crooks $12k, let alone on a debt that is over seven years old.

I knew of an attorney who happened to specialize in this area of the law and I gave him my paperwork. To his amazement, Sacor is trying to trick consumers into thinking that the said lawsuit is legit. But is it? In my case... No, check your paperwork VERY carefully. What you find is, in the state of CA, if you have NOT paid on a particular debt in four years, the statue of limitations has run out. They no longer hold any legal grounds to collect. My attorney drew up a demur and Sacor promptly filed paperwork to the court dismissing the case. Sacor is either really sloppy or feel they will get lucky and the person served wont seek an attorney.

It's almost comical and amateur hour at Sacor. When my attorney made phone calls to them, the original woman who drew up the lawsuit Lajune, is no longer working there. Hmm, she either caught on to their shady practices or knew of it and wanted out before the ship sinks.

There was no real Information out there about Sacor and what they are doing. I feel it's important to educate others about my experience to give them guidence that I did not have. The best part is this letter from Sacor withdrawing the complaint can be used to remove this debt/collection from your credit report.

I cannot thank the law office of Michael Taggert out of La Mesa, CA enough for his professional and quick response. I recommend talking to him and using his service to help you with sacor since he now has experience dealing with them.
