I purchased a Sirius Satellite radio in mid-November 2005. I immediately mailed in all of the paperwork to receive my $50.00 rebate. After 8 weeks, I called the 800 number (three times) and after several different stories, I was told that my rebate had never been received, but that if I had copies of everything I could resubmit it, which I did in mid-January, 2006. In February, I received a post card from Sirius stating that the bar code I sent to them was not for an eligible receiver.
This was incorrect and I have called them on at least four more occasions, getting a different person and different story every time. During the last call, I insisted on speaking with a manager and the manager told me there was nothing he could do. THIS IS STEALING! Something shoudl be done about this, but I am not sure what avenue to take. I know there are many others out there who have been ripped off by the mail-in rebate trap!

Got my check FINALLY

Somewhere on this website I saw an email address for Sirius customer service, so in a final attempt to get my rebate, I emailed them. I cannot say that I got immediate satisfaction, but after three emails and another 5 week waiting period, I finally got the check. This was more than 6 months after purchase. I still believe that Sirius does what they can not to provide people with their rebates, but with enough foot stomping,it is possible to get your rebate.

$50.00 Mail in rebate

Ok, here is the thing.
The "rebate center" has nothing to do with Sirius. They are there own private entity. All they do is handle the rebates.
If you receive a letter like this stating that you have been denied because the SID/ESN number is invalid, UPC not submitted or invalid, you can contact customer service and they will be more than willing to help you out.
It is not SIRIUS that is sending you these postcards. Go to the website where you can check your rebate status. www.web-rebates.com/sirius. Note that this is not a SIRIUS website. Please do not think that Customer Service is trying to scam you. They are here to help. Not scam on you. Call and we will help.
*Note that there is no rebate center you can contact. At the call center the only thing an agent will be able to do is lookup your rebate information and/or override you rebate if it qualifies with all the terms.
*CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOT HANDLE THE REBATES. IT IS A SEPERATE FULFILLMENT HOUSE*

HOW I GOT BOTH OF MY REBATE CHECKS....
AUTHOR: Sherri - (U.S.A.)

I went through the same thing, both with my Sirius Clarion Calypso and the Sirius S50. I received postcards on both, stating that the SID/EIN were not valid. I got the same response from the "Rebate Center" Customer Service.
I got fed up, CALLED Customer Service, downgraded my plans to monthly. The CSR asked me why, and I told her about the rebate situation and told her straight up that if it did not get resolved, I would be going to another company. I pointed out to her that I had to enter a correct SID/EIN for both models online during the prequalifying process and they were both valid then. She asked me if anyone had mentioned that a denial could get an override by Customer Service. Of course, no one had, so she did the override herself. YOU CAN get your rebate..just do what I did and ask them to do an "override".
Let me know if it works for you.
