I have been waiting for a rebate for a Soyo SY-K7VME since March 2004. Even though it shows approved at the website, i have never heard a word from them or seen a check yet.

I am William from Medford, the guy who wrote 'The same thing happened to me". My follow up did not get posted due to a misunderstanding.
Well after, emails and resubmitting, I finally got all five of my rebates. Thanks to this web site, I read suggestions and tried them. My first rebuttal tells of Newegg's response. Here's the email from that source:
Dear valued Customer:
Thank you for your recent submission of your rebate request.
According to our record, your rebate due to invalid receipt. According to the rebate program's terms and conditions All rebates must be mailed in separate envelopes with the appropriate materials to the address listed on the rebate form. Incomplete forms will be denied . If you would like to dispute your rebate, please mail your missing documents along with this letter to:
Special Care Customer Services Dept

We would like to thank you again for your inquiry and patience

I prepared the letter, then I resubmitted the receipt, which was certainly valid. Within two weeks, verifyrebate.com showed that my rebate was sent to me. I actually got the two final checks within three weeks.
If you still trust rebates [I do not], you should copy everything as proof , to be ready to resubmit. I still bet that they igore alot of mailings as I find it hard to believe that all of my mail gets to it's destination...except for my rebate submissions. One rebate per family in the fine print does not mean that other associated rebates [often called "bonus rebates"] are not valid. Be persistent! This suggestion should be posted to all those who use rebates.

Contacting SOYO at Verifyrebate.com and faxing the receipt [my rebate was invalid because the claimed the receipt was invalid. However, it was valid enough to get the TigerDirect rebate for the barebones system]. SOYO called my home [on Friday] me two days later and told me that the receipt was valid and that they would mail the check on Monday. That was the last week of November. They did not respond to two follow up emails.
The Newegg mobo rebate never showed up at verifyrebate.com
I emailed customer service that sent me this:
We are currently working with Soyo to resolve this issue. Since there is no record of your rebate on verifyrebate.com, you will need to fax in the necessary documents to Elizabeth at 909-937-0783. She is our contact within Soyo's rebate department and is assisting us by re-processing the rebates. She has informed me that currently it is taking two weeks to process the rebates once they have been resubmitted.

That was the response. I will try it but it is the same fax as I used for the first rebate. I think that we can kiss that money goodbuy.
