Verizon Wireless has a new policy that existing customers with unlimited data plans are no longer allowed to upgrade and renew their existing plan. The only way to keep your unlimited data plan is to pay FULL retail for devices.
Verizon has kept this fact quiet and you will not be notified until you sign the 3 foot long reciept type contract renewal form at the store (that is if you take the time to read it).
I have been with Verizon for years and am soon out of contract on three of my four lines. I will be leaving and going to AT & T.
If you currently have Verizon and wish to voice your displeasure with their new policy email their customer service. On the Verizon website there is a "contact us" option go to email us.
I am incredibly disappointed in a company that we have used for along time. One more sign of corporate greed taking over.

Verizon tries to trick consumers into signing a new contract!

I have uploaded pictures of the upgrade screen which was on Verizon Wireless this morning. When I called and asked why the option to keep my existing unlimited data was an option I was told " We are sorry it is a mistake that the option is on our website, if you would have chosen this option we (Verizon) would have automatically switched you to the 2 gb option".
