Whitewing Financial Group ripoff Don't have correct information and claim we have debt to pay! Houston Texas

Last week my husband had received a call from Whitewing wanting to settle a ten year debt from a bank that has been bought out. My husband said okay we will pay the debt off call my wife and she will give the financial information you need.

When they finally called my early this week, the customer service representive was unable to tell me the difference between their company and a collection agency. To complicate matters they refused to send or fax me a letter staying that once money was received the debt was taken care of. They agreed to send it once payment was received. I said I wanted one before any money changed hands.

I was then directed to a supervisor who refered to me by a last name I have never heard of and then she proceeded to rename my husband. I advised them to call back when they were looking at the correct account information. When they called back they were ready for financial information. I then asked how could I be sure that the money would go the correct account when they couldn't even find my husbands name. They still did not have the correct information.

Whitewings supervisor read of an address and a phone number that I had never heard. Both were not from the state that my husband has lived in for the last ten years. They told me they would call back.

When they did they had the last four digits of a social security number that didn't belong to my husband and was told to disregard the call. They called one last time with the name of a gentleman that I had never heard asking if I knew who he was. Apparently it was this gentleman that gave them all the information they had been trying to confirm with me. I then hung up. My husband received a letter two days later requesting money.
