Complaint Review: CycleVIN -
CycleVIN Prospective buyer tried to con me to purchasing a VIN report from cyclevinreport.
Similar to other stories, i placed my bike on sale on Craigslist. A person reached out to me, asked for my regular email address and then basically said they were very interested and willing to drive 50 miles to see and buy the bike if only I would get a VIN report from cyclevinreport.com for $25. She even was kind enough to send the link. When I checked BBB and RippedOff website, read the stories and thought it was a scam. With further research, i went to the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS), a government approved list of reasonable VIn search companies for $3.50.
I sent her a note that i have a search that was clean and have not heard back. CycleVINreport company is unethical and downright dirty. I don't know how these folks sleep at night knowing that they are lying and cheating people from their hard earned money. They are really good and convincing. DON'T FALL FOR THAT. She even tried to make me feel guilty for making a big deal of $25.
