1-800-Mattress wrecked my railing and won't pay for repairs Nationwide

I purchased a king sized mattress that was delivered on 9/3/02. The 2 delivery men had a hard time getting the mattress up the stairs. They had me take off the pictures on the same side as the railing.

After much pushing and pulling they got it up, took off the plastic and left. I noticed a piece of wood hanging from my railing, which had just recently been installed.

I called 1-800- mattress and spoke with Hazel Jackson who asked for an estimate so I had my carpenter fax her one. I heard nothing more until I called again on 9/17/02.

She said she had sent all of the paperwork to the trucking company and I should have heard from them. 9/27/02 called again, and was given the number for the trucking company and I spoke to a Jose/Paco who said that the men denied doing any damage but it was too far for them to come but they would try. 9/30/02Someone will call me back. 10/7/02 will check with the drivers and call me back with a decision that day. 10/8/02 drivers came here with camerea. deny that they could have done the damage.

Frequently repeat that they had nothing to do with it and they were never even near the railing with the mattress. 10/14. Msg left for Jose/Paco, never called back. 10/22 message left for Hazel Jackson, will call the next day with resolution. 10/28/02 call and message left for Hazel Jackson. No call back.
