A-1 American ripoff disconnected my dish washer to replace a drain pipe and never reconnected the dish washer. Complained to company with no results. This was a least five or six times. This was a service that cost me $850.00. Chesapeake Virginia

The drain behind my kitchen sink broke so I called A-1 American plumbing that I got from the phone book. They sent out some one in a white van with no markings. They stated the they were sent by A-1 American to check on the job. I showed them were the problem was and they checked it out and found thr drain was leaking at the elbow. He went to the van to contact someone on what it was going to cost. When he came back he stated that he could fix the drain at the elbow for $400.00 + or replace the whole drain pipe up to the main drain for $800.00 +. I told him to replace the whole drain pipe up to the main drain. Well to do the work they had to remove the wall and disconnect the dish washer which they did. They replace about 6 to 8 ft of drain pipe and the vent pipe that goes up to the roof. Well they did the job and when they were complete they found that they forgot to hook up my dish washer and he stated that he would be back the next day to hook it up. This took place on 25 Jan 05 and after many,many,many complaints to Steve at A-1 American it got hook up on 07 Feb 05 by myself. After checking with city hall I found out that Brain Woods the guy that did the work is not licensed in VA. Beach or surrounding Citys. He is from Wood Brothers plumbing of VA. Beach and his brother is not licensed either.
