These fools did $2508 of damage when they picked up a refrigerator that did not work...we still had a washer and dryer which the washer (a maytag) had also stopped working...and we told them they would get it back when we got our insurance deductible from them. I sent them pictures to both the corporate office with an official complaint and a letter and pictures to the store manager Chris. Anyhow, I finally after 2 months got the $500 deductible that they owed us...and the same day it came I let them pick up the merchandise. The entire time we were in communication with the corporate office. Anyhow after they got the washer and dryer back on the 5th I got a letter stating that the merchandise was charged off and reported to my credit. I called the corporate office and they said they had no record of any letter going out and that it had NOT been reported to my credit. Well we went to get a different cell carrier and lo and behold there was a charge off on my credit claiming that I had run off with merchandise they have and to the tune of $1788...interesting since they owe my insurance $1908.
Anyhow this caused us to be denied the credit for the phone...my credit has never been bad and I am seriously considering a law suit since I called them clearly when I received the letter and they lied saying they had not reported it to my credit when they indeed had done so! do not buy anything from these con artists. It is merchandise that for the most part is lousy kick offs of the real stuff. When it breaks your service plan is exactly the same as it would be in a regular store and you have to pay twice what the stuff is worth in the first place...I will NEVER do business with them again.

Let me rephrase my statement

Ma'm may i rephrase my answer. I totally agree with you that they delivered damaged merch to your home and damaged your home....that ma'm it's not right for the company to ignore your service issues. Unfortuantly not all stores are equal for that matter and it disgrundles me that they ignored your issue. What i was simply stating was that keeping the other merch in lieu of the 500.00 deductable even if it haden't charged off was not the best solution. I am in total agreement of them paying for your house to be fixed. One phone call or letter to the owner of Aaron's, Charlie Loudermilk or Robin Loudermilk would have solved your issue faster. I am sorry that maybe you didn't have that information before.

Wish you well in the future Ma'm

I would have to say that it didn't go 60 days it went 59 before the stuff was returned and what kind of company doesn't know what is going on in their stores if they are a good company? first of all perhaps I should have did such a report for collections and a charge off on their credit? Especially since they owe more than the deductible and took that long to pay it! Why should it take a company who conciders their customers first that long to pay a deductible for damage they CAUSED?

You sound like an employee doing a poor job of defending them because the reason they have been in business for the time they have is because they take advantage of people who either do not have credit or of people who are not as affluent as others. Then they think they can treat people however they want. First of all they didn't repair the unit that was sitting in my home so THEY violated the terms of the contract all by themselves. They also failed the contract by not delivering and receiving without damage. They caused damage to both product and home. A company that totally ignores your report of damage should tell you clearly that they have no intention of making things right. I only have to wonder how they would treat someone who really didn't have the money to sue them with.

M'am, Aaron's has not been in business for 55 years for them to rip u off. Number 2 Ma'm, you kinda dug your own hole on the charge off. Whether you return merchandise or keep it, if it goes 60 days late it charges off. That person in corporate probably didn't have any idea that it charged off.....and then afterwards it had charged off. Anyway, you can have it removed from your credit because there is no sufficiant evidence that you kept the merchandise. And in fact you did give it back. But i would have never kept it till they paid a 500.00 deductable. Now was that deductable worth all this trouble?

Wish you good luck in the future Ma'm
