I had went into an Aaron's with full intentions of purchasing a new bedroom suit. I had the cash to pay for it that day and had intended to do so. I spoke to the sales person about a specific suit which they were going to have to order because they did not have the entire set in stock. She stated that since they needed to order the set that it would be best to lease the item as apposed to purchasing it straight out because it was not in stock and would take some time for it to come in.

I explained to the lady that I would be in Disney World for an extended family vacation and that I would not be here when the 90 days same as cash period was up. I then asked what the entire price would be if I were to do the entire lease to own plan. She told me that the entire lease to own plan would be a little more than 1,400.00. I was okay with that so I agreed. I placed a down payment on the suit that day but did not sign any forms she told me that they would bring them when they delivered the bedroom suit.

Almost a month and a half later I recieved the set and my paperwork. I started recieving phone calls around April and they told me that I still owed $ after my entire purchase should have been complete. They told me that I was told the wrong information and that since that employee no longer worked there that I was responsable for paying almost 2,500.00.

This matter is still not resolved but I will not be paying any more $ to Aaron's. I will also never shop at their stores again. My family and friends that have seen what they have put us through continue to spread the word about their bad business practices. If I can help it no one that I know will ever buy from that store or any of the Aaron's stores.

After talking to the regional manager. They finally said that we must be telling the truth. If we would have been lying they said that they felt we would not have put such a large amount of money down on this furniture. So they assumed our contract as void and said that we were now paid in full. They finally did make things right however they left a very bad impression on my family.
