Aaron's sales and lease are the most harrassing people on the planet. I purchased a washer and dryer and dell labtop on the the beginning of July 2007. The washer and dryer is used and so is the computer. I paid a 50% discount on all merchandise that day. So payment is not due until the 15th of Aug. 2007. It is Aug 18th because I dont get paid until the next day and they are constantly calling.
I feel that as long as I pay before that month is out why are the constantly calling and sending out the product techs. This is nerve racking and I have high blood pressure. They also call the day of the date I said I would come in and the day was not even over yet. I told them shortly after i got the computer to come back and pick it up because it totally went out just showing a blue screen. They have not came yet. I told them that I am not paying for that computer but yet they try and charge a $5.00 late fee to your bill. I feel that the half amount that payed on the computer is my late fee. Because I did not get any use out of it. I realize too that they charge a total price of $1200.00 for a used lab top that is broke ..... The merchandise needs to be inspected properly before you pay all this money for it.
Also everyone pay date does not consist of the 1st and the 15th. I pay my bills well and dont mine paying my bills but when someone is harrassing you before the month is out it makes you mad. I will never in life get anything else from them. They are not trying to help the consumer but see how fat there commission checks could be. Every time I call to say come pick up the computer they will give a date but never show. But when you are one day late on payment here the come calling. I wise I could contact corp. because this is not right.as a person I will not recommend there services to a DOG literally!! Please go to a regular furniture store everyone!

You obviously did not read your lease agreement where it states that if you do not pay on or before your due date a $5.00 late fee will incur. Second, You got a washer dryer and a computer with 50% off the first payment and your complaining. And that is why most people come to aarons cause they don't have the money to go to a regular furniture store as you call it. And when you don't make your payment on or before your due date, aaron's does not have to service your computer. It's called you ASP has expired....something else you failed to read.

While you are right about people not getting paid on the 1st or 15th all the time, why didn't you pay them on the date YOU said you would? As an empoyee of Aaron's I see this all the time. People are happy when they get there merchandise, sign the agreement, then when its time for a payment they usually say "well I don't get paid 'till next week". We have revenue goals to hit. We are trying to make a living and bonuses help. We count on that money. We count on making the customer happy because wewant you to pay off what you have then buy something else.

As a former employee of Rent-A-Center which is basically the same, it is clearly their fault. In the Rent to own business your payments are supposed to be set up to fall two days after you are paid to help keep ypu from being late. If you get paid on the 5th and 20th your payments should be due on the 7th and 22nd or you could pay a months payment but it should still fall on the 7th or 20th depending on which day you paid the month.
Also with Aaron's you only getr a year to pay off the items. with RAC at least your payments are lower with longer agreements. I would suggest returning the computer your self to make sure it happens because the longer they wait to pick it up, the more back rent will accumulate. All rto's are this way. Also if your payment is over 2 days late they can reposses the merchandise because as per your agreement it is not yours until paid in full. so if you think you will have a hard time making your payments on time just return the stuff. I dunno about Aaron's but RAC has lifetime reinstatement. If you rent a TV and pay $500 into it you can a year later rent the same model or a similar priced tv and all the previous money will be applied. Don't get me wrong. RAC does the same things if you are late on payments as far as phone calls and the like but it sounds like this particular store is going above and beyond what is accepteble. Hope I helped you out.
