If you are in the military, stay away from Academy Bank.  My wife and I are a Marine family and not only did Academy Bank decide to shut down my accounts, it sent them all to collections.  Now my wife and newborn son cannot even qualify for a home loan.

I am worried after we get off the base, we won't even qualify for an apartment.

Academy Bank has destroyed my credit, leaving an all American military family to worry about the future after serving our country, and yes, the employee jerks at Academy Bank.

Stay far away from Academy Bank.  They could care less about your service to this country.

The only way a company would send you to collections is if you owe them money are are NOT paying them.

So what is the rest of the story?
