Alamo Rental Alamo Blames Me for Accident Detroit MI

Alamo rented a car to me while on vacation in Detroit MI. BUYER BEWARE! If you don't purchase their insurance, look out!!  They will screw you big time. 

While driving the rental in MI, an 18 wheeler semi owned by Gooch Trucking Company backed into me. The driver was very apologetic. He was trying to re backup to make a hard corner. I was trying to get around him, could not, and was preparing to back up back onto the highway. He backed into me. I called 911 and my insurance company AllState. MI dispatch would not send a patrol car.

They said that they don't do that in MI and to trade insurance. My insurance co will handle it. I took pictures, got the guys license and proof of insurance. I sent everything to Allstate. I expected the trucking company insurance to pay. Turns out that Gooch Trucking refuses to pay saying that they were not at fault! Liars!  AllState went ahead and paid the entire claim except for Alamo's Loss of Use. 

Called both AllState and Alamo. Alamo will not back down. They want me to pay full Loss of Use of their rental since AllState will not. They said that they will go ahead and send me to collection. However they refuse to go after the trucking company who is the ONE AT FAULT, not ME. 

Wow. Way to screw over the little guy Alamo!!  Obviously I will never use them again. 

Do not use Alamo unless you are willing to buy their full insurance comprehensive on the rental!!!
