American Auto Shield Cold Calling Tactics

If you're planning on extending your car's warranty, the best place to start is at your Dealer.  2nd best place is to call reputable firms based on your own research.  Do NOT accept cold calls from these vendors seeking to extend your warranty.  National Auto, selling the American Auto Shield called me this morning and tried to strong arm me into buying their plan.  The call was rude, condescending and then bordered on ridiculous.  The caller sounded like he worked in a BoilerRoom and was repeatedly advising me that he knew what he was talking about and had 15 years experience and that I was not listening.  Wow, 15 whole years!  LOL.   When the call was near its end, he informed me that I would get a cancellation number that would prevent me from EVER buying Extended Warranty Coverage for my car if I did not provide him with a deposit immediately.

That is all you need to know.  DO NOT BUY FROM ANYONE CALLING YOU UNSOLICITED.
