 My living room wound up catching on fire. I called Dwayne who told me he would send his dad out to repair damages.


 After meeting with his dad who seemed to know what he was talking about. Me and my kids went to a Hotel. ASfter a week I was called, and told he was all done. I came home to find some of our stuff missing. He claims he sat it out side, and dont know what happened to it.


 The way he left my house was horrible. There was a hole in the screen of our tv. The damages by the fire department were not taking care of. We were told it was not covered, but when we got the estament from the adjuster he sure included it to get paid. He almost doubled the square footage of the work he did, and Dwayne approved it. Can we say Father Son scam

As I read your story, I was scratching my head trying to figure out what you were saying.  To make it easier, I will quote you and insert what I think you're saying.  If I'm wrong, please correct me.

-- So is Dwayne your agent?  or is he the adjuster that was assigned to your claim?

--You were only in a hotel for 1 week?  How much damage was there to your home?  Typically a fire cleanup takes multiple weeks or months based on the amount of smoke damage and overall cleanup.  I agree though that if some things were "stolen" after he placed them outside, that's his fault and he is responsible for them.

--Was the hole in the screen of your TV caused by the fire?  Can you prove there wasn't a hole there previously?  Also, from your story, it sounds like he didn't do 1 ounce of work.  Did the fire department damage consist of wet items from the water?  did they use a foam?  Almost everything is covered in a fire loss. 

Why aren't you calling your agent in this matter to have him investigate what's going on.  It's why you pay your premium to have them help you; however if this Dwayne person is your agent, then your story doesn't make sense because an agent can't approve a payout on a claim...excluding small $50 claims like a windshield repair or getting towed.

I dont' see anything in your story about trying to get help on this.  If somebody didnt' do work for me, then charged double, I would be raising a red flag of holy hell to contact a manager, a boss, somebody to report this.
