American General Finance THEY called ME wanting to GIVE ME MONEY---then denied me! Kissimmee Florida

I am upset with the company. When I was 18 years old I purchased my first car and financed through them. I paid off that car within a year! Then they wanted to give me another loan and I said no. Then in August I did infact get another loan for 1100.00 dollars. I have been making payments monthly on the loan. Never missed a payment. In December I needed about $300 for Christmas, I work in Sales and its really slow in Nov/Dec/Jan. Well they said my credit was good, but no. So I was denied. Didnt really think anything about it, then I get a call from THEM yesterday stating that they can get me a loan for $500 dollars without really changing my payments. I told him that I wasnt sure because you guys denied me in December. He said well it states that you will get approved (so I guess I was pre-approved). Well I gave them some additional information and waited for them to call. Well they called this morning and said that I was approved but WITH collateral of the title to a car. Well the only car I had paid off was through them, and I GAVE it to my mom (free of charge) and I said my name is no longer on the title. And he said your credit is excellent, and you have an excellent payment history but in order for you to get approved we would need collateral. I was upset, because YOU CALLED ME! WANTING TO GIVE ME MONEY! TELLING ME I WAS pretty much ALREADY APPROVED. He said that he tried talking to a supervisor but with the way the economy is they wanted the collateral. You know...not a lot of people have cars paid off. And right now, not a lot of people can make their payments on time. I feel that since I am responsible and the economy has not hurt me too badly, I am being punished. So I called them back, and I said that I do not want them to call me back for these "pre-approved" loans again. EVEN IF I only have $300 dollars left on my loan, DO NOT CALL ME! And he said okay.
