American General Finance Finance Company giving me runaround on sending title after loas has been paid in full. Porterville California

I am being given the run around by American General Finance in Porterville, CA. I originally had a loan with them for a car which I paid off in full on May 19th 2008. I called them after I received the final statement that said my loan was paid in full.

I called them on the 22nd of May and ask them if they were going to send my title and they said they "were too busy and shorthanded" but woulld mail it the following Monday. Still I waited another week and still no title. I checked the mail today, and called them today and talked to Lupe, now she is telling me somthing totally different, Now she says they have to wait 21 days before they can send it, and today 6-10-2008 has been the 23rd day since the check cleared. But she says it will be in the mail tomorrow.

I tried getting a hold of the main office but only get a answering machine there.

Also I moved out of California in 2006 so that makes it very hard to deal with them.
